亞洲最佳市區登山徑—–Dragon’s Back (龍脊)

Where is the best urban trail (市區登山徑 ) in Asia ? It’s Dragon’s Back (龍脊) situated in Shek O of the island of Hong Kong.

So what’s the meaning of urban trail ? That means it is quite near the downtown area, just 20 minutes by bus away from the MTR station. No need to go for long distance travelling, but you can enjoy a magnificent scene of the great nature as if you have travelled several hours away from the city.

Unbelievable !

How long does it take to climb up the hill, if you go straight forward without stopping, it will be less than half an hour, but you have to stop every now and then to enjoy such a maginficent scene.

Why is it called the dragon’s back ? Because
the trail is along the ridge of a mountain, so that you can watch the scene of
both sides which are quite different. Both are fantastic !

This side is quite different from that side
with different air and mood, but still as attractive as all that. The sea below
is as serene as a lake, but on the other side, the sea is known as the Big Wave
Bay ( 大浪灣).

So just see how romantic it is ! Its a bay of
poets.

You can enjoy the view high above and the water
below, in just several hours time, and still have enough time to go back to have
a full set of formal dinner and your night market watching. This is another side
of the Pearl of the Orient, suitable for photographers and supermodels.

Still have a lot of places waiting for you to explore, may be not so far away from you. Do not just go for shopping and shopping. Hong Kong is a Shoppers Paradise, but still have a lot of things that can give you a surprise like this.

How long does it take to climb up the hill, if you go straight forward without stopping, it will be less than half an hour, but you have to stop every now and then to enjoy such a magnificent scene.
